Tresor signs digital formats partnership with Cowshed Collective
Keshet International’s German prodco to capitalise on success of Youtube exclusive HOT ONES™ Germany by developing Cowshed’s digital formats for German market
Tresor Productions, one of Germany’s leading non-scripted production companies, has signed a partnership deal with Cowshed Collective Ventures, part of the pioneering digital-first media company Cowshed Collective, which includes access to its formats in Germany.
This agreement gives Keshet International-owned Tresor a first-look on Cowshed formats for German-speaking adaptations. In addition to rolling out existing formats in Germany with Cowshed, the two companies will also co-develop new IP for creators and brands. Together, Cowshed and Tresor will approach the German advertiser market to develop entertainment–led solutions, using Cowshed’s experience in digital-first and branded entertainment content alongside Tresor’s local production expertise.
Axel Kühn, Managing Director at Tresor Productions, says, “We’ve learned so much from the experience of producing HOT ONES Germany, particularly when it comes to financing YouTube-first content, and we can’t wait to start working together with Cowshed on bringing innovative formats to German advertisers and viewers. As digital audiences continue to grow and the gap between the production values of digital formats and traditional TV shrinks, partnering with brands and influencers to adapt successful digital formats for German viewers is an attractive alternative route to production for us as a company.”
Luci Sanan, Head of Cowshed Ventures, adds “The Cowshed team and I are excited to begin this partnership with Tresor. Their track record is exceptional, and I’ve long respected the ambition and innovation in their work. Germany is a huge market with massive potential, where together we can shape a compelling new landscape for creators, brands and IP”.
Cowshed has become a standout force in digital-first entertainment, creating hit reality formats for brands including Footasylum and BoohooMAN. Its YouTube tentpoles Locked In and Bad Bistro have delivered six and four hugely successful seasons, cementing Footasylum’s position as a leader in brand-owned entertainment.
Cowshed also drives creator-led originals, most notably Inside for Sidemen Entertainment—a format that built major momentum on YouTube before making the leap to Netflix, underscoring Cowshed’s ability to elevate digital IP into mainstream success. The company continues to expand its creator footprint with original channels such as Fed Up with Shannon Langdon and Mia Mon, further strengthening its role at the forefront of next-gen entertainment.
Tresor Productions has rapidly expanded its footprint in digital branded entertainment, making a high-impact debut with the German adaptation of First We Feast LLC’s cult celebrity interview phenomenon HOT ONES™. Produced as 20×30’ episodes and released exclusively on YouTube (@HotOnes_Germany), the series launched on 3 July 2025 with Uber Eats as its headline sponsor. Hosted by acclaimed live comedian EMMVEE, HOT ONES™ Germany has quickly ignited the market—amassing 8.3M views, 20,000 subscribers, 34,000 interactions and 108 shorts to date—cementing Tresor as a rising force in the premium creator-led space.
Tresor Productions is renowned for its expertise in adapting major international formats for German-speaking audiences. The company has delivered a slate of recent hits across leading broadcasters, including NBCUniversal Formats’ The Real Housewives of Munich; CJ ENM’s I Can See Your Voice (three seasons); and Keshet Broadcasting’s studio gameshow Domination, adapted for RTL as Schlauer als Alle – Schlägst du Deutschland?. Additional successes include LineUp Industries’ financial reality series Where Does All the Money Go?, reimagined as Über Geld spricht man doch (People Talk About Money) for Kabel 1 and Sat.1, and Paramount’s guessing-game format The Line-Up, adapted as Wer isses? for ProSieben.
