Keshet International to shop Yeti TV's SECRET ROYAL HOMES at MIPCOM
KESHET INTERNATIONAL TO SHOP YETI TV’S SECRET ROYAL HOMES
Keshet International will launch pre-sales for Secret Royal Homes, Yeti TV’s access-all-areas guide to stately homes with royal secrets, this MIPCOM.
Secret Royal Homes was originally pitched to KI by the Welsh production company as part of the global content producer and distributor’s Greenlight: Factual and Formats commissioning initiative. Yeti TV’s 3x60’docuseries is one of four factual titles KI will be pre-selling to clients at MIPCOM – all identified via that initiative - alongside Caledonia TV’s Hitler’s Favourite Royals (3x60’) (co-development deal announced on 3 Sept), Hello Mary’s Subterranean Secrets (10x60’), and Earthbound (3x60’) from Ritual Arts and Amazing Owl, which will be narrated by Orlando Bloom.
Kelly Wright, Managing Director of Distribution at Keshet International, says: “What sets Secret Royal Homes apart is the calibre of locations and stories unearthed — properties that have rarely, if ever, been explored on screen, each steeped in royal intrigue. This is the kind of premium, globally appealing factual content buyers are looking for right now: a fresh lens on the British monarchy, rich in untold history, stunning visuals, and irresistible storytelling. As KI continues to grow its factual co-production slate, this series exemplifies the kind of bold, distinctive projects we’re proud to bring to the international market.”
Siân Price, Yeti TV’s Creative Director, comments: “We are delighted to be working with Keshet International to bring this rich series to market. It promises to have all Yeti's hallmarks of fascinating factual take-out, stunning photography, privileged access and a new window on the history of the royals.”
Secret Royal Homes is an exclusive three-part docuseries granting viewers privileged access to little-known homes, all brimming with unreported royal stories. None are the royal palaces the public already know inside out. Some are impressive mansions that have been homes to historic royals, others are secluded hideaways where royals could flee from prying eyes, a few hosted little-known lavish royal visits and parties – and many have never been featured in a TV docuseries before.
In themed episodes featuring multiple properties, these untold or hidden stories will be brought to life, with full access granted by the owners or custodians who take viewers on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. We’ll uncover all their royal stories – from eye-wateringly lavish royal visits, through to scandals, friendships, love affairs, and events that changed the course of history.
Since officially launching its Greenlight: Factual & Formats commissioning initiative, KI has greenlit two straight-to-series factual orders for distribution: Perpetual Entertainment’s Hitler’s Treasure Hunters, a 6x60’ historical docuseries ordered to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the end of WW2 and Hitler’s death that tells the story of the special branch of the Nazi SS tasked with stealing treasures and religious relics to help win the war and prove Aryan supremacy; and Woodcut Media’s Catch Me If You Can, a 10x60’ true crime docuseries that delves into the chilling world of murderers who evaded capture while taunting those tasked with bringing them to justice. KI has licensed Hitler’s Treasure Hunters in more than 70 territories since launching it to market at MIPCOM 2024.
