The seventh version of the International Emmy Award-winning sitcom is in production, with the first of 118 Latvian episodes to premiere from 1 September on TV3

Keshet International (KI) has licensed two seasons of its International Emmy Award-winning comedy format Traffic Light (Ramzor) to TV3 Group in Latvia.

Currently in production by SIA Seriālu mājas (Kolektīvs) under the local title Luksofors, the first season (57x30’) will premiere on TV3 from 1 September, with a second season (61x30’) already confirmed.

Show me the men, and I’ll show you the boys.

Originally created by Adir Miller for Keshet Broadcasting and Endemol Israel, Traffic Light is a warm and witty situation comedy about three lifelong friends navigating the complex realities of adulthood — from marriage and parenting to relationships and the eternal lure of single life. The characters’ contrasting life situations lead to wildly different (and often hilariously misguided) advice, proving that when it comes to friends, honesty isn’t always the best policy.

Kelly Wright, Keshet International’s MD of Distribution, says “We are thrilled to bring the charm and humour of Traffic Light to audiences in Latvia with our broadcast partner, TV3 Group. Together we already have one successful adaptation under our belts in Lithuania, so we’re pleased to be working again with TV3 on our fifth European adaptation of this entertaining situation comedy, this time for Latvian audiences.”

Elīna Jēkabsone, TV3 Group’s Program Director & Group Content Distribution Business Development Officer, comments, “Long-running series are a vital backbone of any channel. In today’s world, where it’s more important than ever to bring light into people’s daily routines, we’re proud to offer our own adaptation of an award-winning comedy that does just that. This situational comedy, filled with humorous and sometimes delightfully silly moments, is something everyone can relate to. It’s a show where viewers will undoubtedly find something familiar—and laugh along the way.”

Leading the stellar cast of TV3 Latvia’s adaptation of Traffic Light, Luksofors, is Artūrs Putniņš (Paradizes skele, Kalev), who plays Eduards; Jānis Āmanis (Dream Team 1935), who plays Viesturs – in the equivalent role made famous by creator Adir Miller; and Kaspars Zāle (Firstborn, Sarkanais mezs), as Toms.

Produced by SIA Seriālu mājas, both seasons of Luksofors will be directed by Ričardas Vitkaitis (Gaugu Karai. Kaveliai, The Mole), with scripts written by Elita Krūmiņliepa and Laura Jeruma, and showrunners Ieva Salceviča (Rugtas izveles) and Rimvydas Martinaitis (Rugtas izveles, Vinas melo labak).

Traffic Light has proven a global hit since first airing on Keshet in Israel, where seasons three and four became the highest-rated scripted series in the country. Described by Haaretz as “a comedy which constantly delivers” and the “comedy of the decade” by The Marker, the original show won Best Comedy Series at the 2010 International Emmy Awards and was polled as Israel’s favorite TV series by the county’s most-read newspaper Yediot Aharonot. Keshet International has since licensed the format in six territories, including in Russia on CTC, where it ran to 10 seasons from 2009 to 2015; two seasons in Lithuania on TV3; in Greece on Open TV; Slovakia on TV JOJ; and in the US on Fox. Luksofors  will premiere on TV3 in Lithuania from 1 September, with the series debuting on the channel’s streaming service Go3.

Other Keshet 12 scripted formats licensed and produced elsewhere in Europe this year include Assi Azar’s romcom The Baker and the Beauty (4x60’), which has most recently been adapted in France for TF1 by Marathon Studio and Terence Films as La Belle et Le Boulanger; and Messiah Superstar (8x60’), Keshet Germany’s adaptation of the hit mockumentary format for Prosieben.Sat1’s Joyn. KI will launch the finished tape of both shows at MIPCOM 2025. KI has recently licensed Ori Gross’ romcom Save the Date to Alpha TV in Greece and Cyprus, where the Greek adaptation is currently in development by the FTA TV channel.
