Jill Halfpenny (The Cuckoo, The Feud, The Long Shadow) stars as Lucy Logan, the nation’s sweetheart, BFF, and host of ‘Lucy Live’. Ambitious and hardworking, but beneath it all, she’s thoroughly ruthless. Lucy has a flawless public image: two million Instagram followers, a famous husband, and a picture-perfect family. She seems untouchable… until an encounter with a fan changes everything.
Donna Hughes, played by Sally Lindsay (The Madame Blanc Mysteries, Love Rat), appears unassuming at first, stepping in to prevent a petty theft. Grateful and flattered, Lucy invites her “number one fan” to her show. But Donna doesn’t disappear quietly. She returns. Again, and again. What begins as admiration slowly turns into a darker obsession, quietly infiltrating Lucy’s career, family, and friendships.
As the pressure mounts and her world starts to fracture, Lucy is drawn into a tense psychological duel with a woman who knows more than she should. Commissioned by 5 in the UK, Number One Fan is set to air mid-2026.
