Hosted by a popular comedian, each episode welcomes a celebrity guest, and together the duo re-experiences the decades – from the 1970s onward – by playing the greatest games in history. In order to advance through to the present day, the host and his guest must complete video game levels from the different years.
As they travel through the decades, they’ll be transported to the year of each game’s release to relive that era’s fashion, news, crazes, music, and food. Packed with interesting facts, Playing for Time fully immerses them in these distinct moments in time, offering the perfect platform for them to share their own memories, personal stories and hilarious anecdotes. Each year is recreated using numerous changing sets, props, and costumes throughout, which also presents the ideal opportunity for sponsorship and product placement.
