Two people in serious dispute embark on a unique social experiment in human conflict resolution in this innovative, highly relatable format featuring real disagreements, real mediation, and real solutions. From family members disconnected for years, to those with shocking secrets to reveal, participants enter a specially designed closed box – and, whether it takes two hours or two days, they will be unable to leave until they’ve worked it out...

Outside is the expert mediator, who, in firm belief that all human conflicts can be resolved, has developed the box to fast track the resolution process. Once the participants are inside, still divided by a wall, each side of their story is revealed to viewers, before the wall between them is removed and they come face to face. The mediator conducts the show from outside the box, speaking to the participants via screens to initiate joint discussions, individual conversations and various tasks.

Built as a flexible module, elements emerge from the box’s walls, such as nostalgic items, task props or a phone. Also featured are video clips, testimonies from family and friends, as well as Help, Time Out, or Exit buttons.

Throughout the show the mediator communicates with the viewers to explain how he will move forward, offering tools and insights to help them resolve conflicts in their own lives.

At the end of the show, the wall returns and the mediator addresses each of them in an emotion-filled final verdict, to determine whether or not they can reach an understanding. When the wall comes down, both sides – and the viewers at home – discover who has remained, committed to the Boxed resolution, and who has walked away…
