From patrol officers and detectives to forensic experts and commanders, this intensive series tracks a cast of characters from different units as they investigate and respond to a diverse range of incidents. They might be encountering those affected by criminal activity, combatting drug laboratories, catching online pedophiles, helping homeless youths, showing restraint in the face of angry demonstrators or dealing with high-pressure security incidents. Sometimes slandered, vilified, cursed, and humiliated, sometimes loved, appreciated and Needed – day in, day out, these officers go to work, never knowing what might take place during their shifts.
