Programme Overview
Description
ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) is a docu-reality series that follows three unique and heartwarming stories, with two sides to each, in the lead up to a meeting that changes all of their lives forever.
Each episode starts 24 hours before a meeting which will see two of the show’s subjects - from opposite ends of the world - reunited. Our characters prepare for their exciting and formative meeting, one that could change a life, or leave it unchanged but at least relieve the yearning for someone who’s so far apart; someone who’s an integral part of their lives.
The cameras follow them packing and leaving their families and life as they know it, while also capturing their thoughts and mental preparations for the emotional meeting ahead of them.
These meeting can take place in an airport, a railway station, a port, the entrance to a home, outside a prison, for example. The series has a narrator who provides commentary for the viewer and guides them through each and every stage.
