Programme Overview
Description
Rubi Polishuk is a small-time politician who, through a surprising turn of events, finds himself appointed Minister of Social Advancement in the Israeli Government, a redundant office set up purely to mitigate tensions between the fractious parties in a coalition government. No-one intended for him to actually do anything while in office, but as soon as he gets his feet under the desk, Polishuk gets into his stride and proves himself an unexpectedly effective power-player who shows signs of developing a backbone and displays an uncanny ability to endear himself to the public.
In series two, Minister Polishuk embarks on a campaign to be elected Chairman of his party, Malal. In the race for the new role, he is accompanied by his trusted team: Chief of Staff Sully, Strategic Advisor Kozo and media consultant Tkuma.
