NOVEMBER 4-5, 2013, JERUSALEM
Keshet Media Group, the company behind the Emmy® winning format Homeland / Prisoners of War, is pleased to announce that globally respected industry topper Bob Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment, will deliver the keynote at the company’s second annual INTV conference. Greenblatt will kick off the high profile two-day conference focused on the convergence of innovation and technology in the television industry, hosted by Keshet’s CEO Avi Nir and Nir Barkat, Mayor of Jerusalem.
“We are delighted to welcome Bob to Israel, and we are thrilled to have him share his valuable insight at this year’s conference,” said Keshet CEO Avi Nir. “Bob, with his extraordinary track record in creating quality groundbreaking content and his keen eye towards emerging trends in the TV industry, embodies the spirit of innovation that we hope to cultivate at INTV. We cannot think of anyone more qualified to keynote the conference, especially during such an exciting period of industry transformation and globalization.”
As NBC Entertainment’s chief executive, Greenblatt has overseen a dramatic turnaround in the network’s primetime performance, leading NBC to a #2 finish for the 2012-13 broadcast year in adults 18-49, marking the first time the network has topped Fox and ABC with no boost from the Olympics or Super Bowl in 10 years. NBC has started the 2013-14 television season with 18-49 wins during each of the season’s first three weeks and a three-week average rating of a 3.1, the network’s highest at this point in the season since 2007. In the spring of 2011 Greenblatt launched broadcast television’s newest phenomenon, The Voice, and this fall has added the most-watched new drama of the season, The Blacklist.
Gathering executives and industry leaders from around the world, INTV aims to address the dramatic sea-change that has taken place within the global TV industry over the last few years. With viewers taking center stage, new online outlets emerging, integrated social media becoming essential, and the growth of interactive services and new business models, it crucial to understand how to navigate the constantly evolving landscape. Industry leaders and disruptors will confront modern TV’s many questions and share their visions.
